H&R Daniel was founded by Henry Daniel in 1822 Daniel had previously had his own business within Spode that was responsible for enamelling and gilting Spodes china. This low comport features a hand painted lake scene with a small boat near a stone bridge and mountains in the background. The underside is hand inscribed with a description but
