2020 Chevrot Bourgogne Aligote 'Cuvee des Quatre Terroirs' 750Ml Bottle Fontaine-Gagnard supple and spicy with aThis aligot comes from four parcels ("quatre terroirs") planted in 1970 and 1984. Two parcels have gravelly soils and the other two have sandstone soils. The sandstone gives a smokey characteristic to the wine which many mistake as oak but this wine is made in entirely in stainless steel. There are two main types of aligot, aligot dore and aligot vert. Dore is the older of the two and thought to be more complex than the vert, which has higher yields.
