Florida Tutoring Advantage is contracting with a variety of tutoring partners who provide in-person, virtual or automated tutoring services in reading and mathematics, and AI enhanced learning supporting districts across the state.

The University of Florida conducted a search for Tutoring Partners in the Fall of 2024 to provide services for the Florida Tutoring Advantage. The result of that Intent To Negotiate (ITN) was the selection of 33 partners, of those selected, a subset was awarded contracts for the FTA Pilot that took place in the Spring of 2025. Age of Learning

As the developer of award-winning educational solutions like ABCmouse, Age of Learning has built a reputation for creating research-driven, adaptive programs that meet the needs of diverse learners. My Math Academy(R) and My Reading Academy(R) are built on years of research and development focused on mastery learning, adaptive technology, and the science of reading.

AIR Reading

Air Reading provides live, high-impact, personalized tutoring for students in grades K–8 reading. Our program aligns with the Science of Reading, focusing on foundational literacy skills such as phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Tutors deliver synchronous, small-group online instruction with 2–4 students per group, meeting 2–4 times per week. Each session includes explicit, systematic instruction that builds on individual student strengths while addressing areas for improvement. Our program is designed to meet the needs of students with diverse learning backgrounds.

Air Tutors

Air Tutors provides high impact digital tutorial services to support accelerated student learning recovery. We offer flexible scheduling to meet the needs of students and district partners. Our program is recognized for research alignment to best practices in effective tutoring, such as intentional and sustained mentorships, alignment to district curriculum and classroom experiences, and targeted instruction to individual and small groups based on students’ individual needs and diagnostic assessments.

Amira

Amira is a personal artificial intelligent tutor program. It provides every student with an always available, infinitely patient, and highly-trained personal reading tutor. Amira assesses oral reading fluency and analyzes errors to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses.

Carnegie Learning

Carnegie Learning’s high-impact, high-dosage tutoring in Reading and Math speeds up learning with the proven combination of certified tutor instructors and high-quality instructional resources. We deliver personalized, live, online support to ensure every student gets precisely what they need to succeed.

ChapterOne

Chapter One is a one-on-one personalized tutoring program that embeds part-time tutors into the classroom to provide short bursts of instruction to individual students each week over the course of the school year. The program leverages technology and the relationship tutors build with their students to personalize instruction, dosage, and session length to meet the individual needs of each child to develop a strong foundation in phonics and build reading fluency. Chapter One uses a “push-in” model that provides districts with part-time tutors, or Early Literacy Interventionists (ELIs), who meet with students one-on-one in the back of the classroom over the course of a school year. One ELI serves multiple classrooms in the school, and tutors work with individual students in 5-10 minute increment sessions during blocks of reading instruction or other opportune moments.

Cignition

Using a high-impact support model, Cignition is a K-12 virtual tutoring provider led by experienced educators who produce proven, repeatable results in student success for math and English Language Arts (ELA). Catering to entire districts, schools, and individual families, Cignition instruction is centered around deep conceptual understanding, encouraging productive struggle, and allowing students to develop core academic, critical-thinking, and 21st-century skills that are vital to long-term success beyond the classroom.

Crowd Coursing

CrowdCoursing is a powerful, scalable, and highly configurable platform that aims to transform how school districts manage tutoring and volunteer activities. Our platform provides the flexibility and tools administrators need to streamline the management of tutoring programs so that every student can receive the support they need while maintaining full oversight over tutor hours and compliance with background check requirements and safety protocols.

Florida Virtual School

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is a fully accredited statewide public school district, serving Florida students in grades Kindergarten-12. For 27 years, FLVS certified online teachers have worked one-on-one with students to understand their needs and ensure their success – with FLVS students completing 8.1 million semester courses since the district’s inception. With more than 200 online courses and 80 fun and exciting clubs, FLVS provides families with a safe, reliable, and flexible education in a supportive environment. As a leading online education provider, FLVS also offers comprehensive digital learning solutions to school districts, from online courses that result in high student performance outcomes, to easy-to-use online platforms, staff training, and support. Florida Virtual School’s Student Services Department, encompasses programs and professionals that provide prevention and intervention services to students in grades K-12. Services center around students’ skill development and are delivered by an integrated team of student services professionals who are uniquely trained to address the academic, personal/social, and mental health needs of all students.

Hey Tutor’s in-person high-dosage tutoring program enhances student learning by addressing academic challenges. Hey Tutor’s trained tutors excel at seamlessly integrating with school curriculum, creating a customized solution that promotes academic success and personal growth.

Hoot

At Hoot Reading, our mission is to change children’s lives through literacy. Hoot Reading provides 1:1, evidence- based literacy instruction. Incubated in a research project at the Nokia Research Lab with Sesame Workshop (the creators of Sesame Street) and the Joan Ganz Cooney Center, we partner with school districts across North America to address the literacy crisis and help children become confident, independent readers.

Ignite Reading

Ignite Reading offers one-to-one virtual tutoring in foundational reading skills for students in grades
K-5. Our program pairs students with expert reading tutors for daily 15-minute, Science of Reading-based instruction sessions delivered during the school day.

Imagine Learning

A comprehensive suite of K–12 programs designed to enable core instruction, provide research-proven supplemental support, and spark personalized intervention pathways for every student. These innovative solutions use insights from real-time data to meet each student where they are and anticipate future learning needs to drive better learning outcomes.

K12 Solutions / EQPD Learning

EQPD specializes in providing high-dosage, virtual tutoring services for K-12 students, focusing on literacy and mathematics. The organization offers a comprehensive tutoring program that includes one-on-one and small group sessions (up to 1:3 ratio) delivered through the Pearl (Personalized Education and Remote Learning) platform.

EQPD’s services are grounded in research-validated methodologies, including the Science of Reading for literacy instruction and evidence-based approaches for mathematics. The organization provides customized curriculum alignment, progress monitoring, and data analysis to ensure tutoring complements classroom instruction and drives measurable academic growth.

Khan Academy

Khanmigo is an AI-powered personal tutor and teaching assistant from trusted education nonprofit Khan Academy.

For learners and families, Khanmigo offers engaging, on-topic, and effective learning for students, and is ethically designed with safety and learning as a top priority. Khanmigo doesn’t just give answers. Instead, with limitless patience, it guides learners to find the answer themselves. In addition, Khanmigo is the only AI tool that is incorporated with Khan Academy’s world-class content library that covers math, humanities, coding, social studies, and more.

Littera Education

Littera Education was founded in 2020 with the premise that high-quality tutoring works, but it is inaccessible to students who need it most due to the high cost and operational intensity of delivering tutoring in a school setting. Our goal is to enable K-12 school districts and other student-serving organizations to design and deliver high-quality, and effective tutoring to every student who needs it. Littera provides school districts with high-impact tutoring services, supports statewide tutoring organizations with our Tutoring Management System (TMS) and program management services, and participates in cutting-edge research with prominent universities and foundations.

Nextcelerate

Nextcelerate is a high-impact tutoring program designed to elevate student achievement and unlock every student’s potential. Our initiative collaborates 7with district partners to meet the Tutoring Quality Improvement System standards set by Stanford’s National Student Support Accelerator, aiming to overcome educational disparities caused by COVID-19 and systemic inequities. Additionally, our innovative proposal aims to enhance the impact of our high-quality tutoring program by implementing a financial incentive system that encourages consistent attendance and promotes long-term financial well-being for students and their families.

One on One Tutoring

The One on One Learning GAINS Instructional Support Program (“The GAINS Program”) – Grow, Accelerate, Individualize, Nurture, Sustain – is One on One Learning’s high-dosage tutoring program that embodies the Provider’s commitment to academic excellence. The GAINS Program is designed to accelerate student learning and achieve measurable academic success through a comprehensive, data-driven approach. This program incorporates proven best practices to support students.

Prometric

Prometric offers a comprehensive suite of solutions designed with the aim to enhance oversight and performance tracking in the key areas of tutoring services, instructional materials, and program outcomes. Specific tools ensure that tutoring resources are aligned with educational goals and state standards in addition to the ability to provide data visualizations to monitor performance and development of formative and assessments that support state, district, and school initiatives.

PCG

Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) offers consulting services and technical assistance to help schools, school districts, and state education agencies design and deliver high-quality and engaging professional learning experiences. Through research, evidence-based practices and results driven strategies, PC leads innovative professional learning for educators and student learning.

Purple Ruler

Purple Ruler is a leading provider of innovative, high-impact tutoring services designed to support K-5 students through personalized, engaging, and results-driven instruction. Our virtual tutoring platform offers a comprehensive solution that combines evidence-based teaching methods with cutting-edge technology to enhance student learning outcomes in a dynamic, interactive environment.

Reading Futures

Reading Futures provides live, online small-group reading intervention to students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties. Our model uses highly trained educators, scientifically proven reading programs, and supportive teaching methods to meet the specific needs of students in grades 4-5.

Simplified Math Engagement Center / Eurekii

Eurekii provides evidence-based, data-driven tutoring models that show quantifiable growth in student outcomes. Our differentiator is that we train our tutors to focus on student experience and engagement first – building a strong relationship of trust and safety so we can then push students to do harder things. Our second priority is challenge -because we know brains grow and catch up with challenge and novelty. Our third area of focus is measurable outcomes – ensuring our tutoring methods and work produce results. In summary, the Eurekii tutoring experience ensures our students are having a great experience, being challenged, and their success and confidence is being measured quantitatively.

Success For All

Success for All Tutoring (SFA-T) is a research proven, web-based literacy tutoring for below level students in grades K-8. SFA-T is easy-to-use software, has detailed guides and supports for tutors, extensive reports track and display progress. SFA-T also has at-home activities that reinforce what students learn during the day and allow them to share with their parents. SFA-T allows students to work cooperatively in pairs to advance through activities, coached and monitored by a tutor. One SFA-T tutor can manage up to four students at a time during each 30-minute session.

Tutored by Teachers

Tutored by Teachers (TbT is a public benefit company dedicated to closing academic opportunity gaps in education. We provide intensive virtual Math and English Language Arts (ELA) high-impact tutoring programs delivered by experienced/credentialed teachers. Our research-based small group intervention model drives student outcomes.

University Instructors

University Instructors LLC (UI) works with schools and school districts nationwide to help maximize resources, achieve target performance goals, and improve student outcomes by providing evidence-based, high-impact tutoring through face-to-face (in-person) small group instruction in reading and mathematics. This high-impact tutoring model is designed to accelerate mastery of grade-level content and skills and to advance learning recovery. Prior to implementation, UI provides training to tutors on instructional best practices and UI’s tutoring implementation and methodology.

UNC / Targeted Reading Instruction

Targeted Reading Instruction (TRI) provides professional development with ongoing support for tutors implementing our digital curriculum. TRI supports students as they develop foundational reading skills, focusing on phonological awareness, phonics, and decoding within the context of real words and texts. Tutors work one-on-one with a student to implement 15-minute preprogrammed lessons. TRI’s flexible scope and sequence allows tutors to select lessons that are matched to each student’s unique learning needs. TRI’s staff of experienced literacy coaches provide initial professional development and ongoing coaching to the tutors to ensure fidelity of implementation and support individualization of instruction. TRI’s digital platform allows tutors to easily provide high-quality individualized reading instruction designed to accelerate the academic progress of K-3 students.

Varsity Tutors

The Varsity Tutors platform includes everything you will need to successfully and sustainably scale personalized tutoring and other powerful learning resources across an entire district. In addition to facilitating wide-scale learning intervention, VTS makes it easy for administrators to continually track progress, with an Administrator Portal that provides Florida schools and districts with the information and data needed to drive meaningful outcomes in student achievement and accomplish the goals and objectives of the district.

Zearn

Zearn Math is an online math learning program with over 1,000 K–8 digital math lessons designed to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed in rigorous, grade-level math. Every Zearn digital lesson develops both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding, with real-time, adaptive support to help students work through challenges while maintaining grade-level rigor.
